Product Description
STEINEL IR Quattro 8m COM1 is a professional infrared presence detector for small offices, ancillary rooms and shared interiors. Its white square housing forms a discreet ceiling detail, while the sensor links lighting operation to actual occupancy and the daylight available in the room.
Detection suited to the room
A square presence zone of up to 4 × 4 m follows the layout of many rooms and responds to small movements during occupancy. Maximum tangential coverage is 7 × 7 m at the specified 2.8 m mounting height. Mechanical adjustment matches the zone to the room, helping separate an occupied work area from an adjacent route. Closely arranged lens segments support detection when movements are small.
Control for everyday use
DIP switches and rotary controls provide fully automatic or semi-automatic operation. In semi-automatic mode, occupants switch the light on with a button and the sensor handles switch-off. IQ mode adapts the switch-off delay to room usage; a pulse mode is also available for a stairwell timer. An external button retains manual control, while an optional remote makes adjustment more convenient.
Planning the installation
The COM1 interface provides one relay output for switching lighting on and off. Wired interconnection extends coverage using several detectors. This IP20 version is designed for ceiling mounting with concealed wiring; a separate adapter enables surface mounting. It is intended for indoor installation at heights from 2.5 to 8 m. Circuit planning must respect the specified rating for the actual connected load type. Article 000349 carries a five-year manufacturer’s warranty.
